All that is to Come

A fleeting desire,

a drifting devotion,

is what I feel

when I'm in the ocean.

Every sweet wave

at any old place

is a tease and a glance

of His glorious face.

A Poem about the Late Cassini Probe

Cassini Cassini, how we watched with fear
as you mounted and bounded up into the air!
The year was 97 when you left the groun’.
The year was 18 when you fell back down.
How hard you worked to bring us a sight
of what you perceived on your journey of light!
We learned of a planet that’s made out of gas
and we treasured the secrets of each moon’s mass.

Cassini Cassini we know not why
the planets twirl and orbit as they do in the sky.
But, thanks to your courage, your grace and your love,
we now know much more ‘bout the stars above.
The year was 97 when you left the groun’.
The year was 18 when you fell back down.
How we laughed and we wept when you finally died!
Cassini Cassini, Kronos, his pride.
